Agreement and license

By using Lightning Tracker, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your license to the app is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. These terms describe the Lightning Tracker service and its limitations.

Weather information and safety

Lightning Tracker provides weather information for reference. It is not a safety device, emergency service, or a means of determining whether outdoor activity can begin or resume. Follow official weather warnings and local emergency procedures.

Data and notification limits

Lightning detection coverage varies by region and network. Observations, forecasts, radar, distances, and notifications may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. A map with no displayed strikes does not establish that no lightning is occurring. A timer or an absence of alerts does not establish that a storm has ended.

Permissions, Focus settings, connectivity, provider availability, and iOS scheduling affect updates and notifications. Background refresh is intermittent and cannot provide continuous monitoring.

Third-party services

The app uses lightning data from Xweather, forecasts from Tomorrow.io, radar from Rainbow.ai, and weather information from Apple Weather. These services have their own terms, privacy practices, coverage, and availability. Their data is subject to the limitations of the underlying observations and forecasts.

Purchases, if offered

If the app offers purchases, Apple processes them under the price and terms shown at checkout. Any subscription management, cancellation, or refund request is handled through Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or its connected services, bypass service protections, interfere with their operation, or use them to violate another person's rights. Use the app in accordance with applicable law and its license.

Availability and changes

Features and data sources may change or become unavailable. We may update the service and these terms for platform compatibility, service reliability, or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest version of these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and connected services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on the app as your sole source of weather information or for decisions involving personal safety.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, VectorApps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including delayed or missing data and notifications. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
